What Sets the Toyota Tacoma Apart from Other Light-Duty Pickup Trucks?

The Toyota Tacoma helps you expand your playground with both tools and toys, so while all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy, there's no risk of that with the Toyota Tacoma. Take on the work day with impressive features like the available Tow Package, which, when combined with the powerful 3.5-liter V6 engine, can deliver a payload of up to 1440 pounds with a max tow rating of 6800 pounds. Protect your bed with the available Composite bed with a factory-installed 120-volt outlet, and since an innovative deck rail system comes standard, you'll see four heavy-duty tie down cleats so you can safely strap down cargo, from work equipment to dirt bikes.

Trim Options, Cab Options, Bed Options Galore!

In the current Tacoma lineup, there are three cab options for Cambridge MD, Salisbury, and Milford DE drivers to choose from-Regular Cab, Access Cab, and Double Cab. The Access Cab opens up wide with barn-style doors, giving you awesome access to your front and back seats; the Double Cab opens with regular door styles, offering convenience access for driver and passenger.

When it comes to bed lengths, the current Tacoma lineup gives you the choice of a short bed (60.5 inches) or a long bed (73.7 inches). Both beds offer advantages, with the shorter bed making the Tacoma easier to maneuver, but the longer bed offering more space for bigger items, like bicycles and other equipment with long dimensions.

Additionally, there are six trims in the current Tacoma lineup, staring with the SR trim, then moving onto the SR5, TRD Sport, TRD Off-Road, to the penultimate Limited trim, finally arriving at the top-tier TRD Pro trim. As their names might suggest, some trims are specially outfitted for off-road prowess, offering features like Crawl Control (on 4x4 models only), or Multi-terrain Select (on 4x4 models only). At the top of the trim tree, you'll be well met by TRD-tuned high-performance FOX 2.5 Internal Bypass shocks, TRD Pro skid plate, and standard 4x4 setup. Each trim level offers different configurations within, such as cab or bed options, as well as various transmission options, including both manual and automatic choices. Not all combinations are available on each trim, but if you have any questions about configurations, someone from our sales team would be more than happy to answer them for you.
